The Media Convergence Awards 2012, organized by Hong Kong Association of Interactive Marketing, aims at awarding outstanding media in the categories of magazine, TV, radio and newspaper based on the four criteria:
- Innovation and Creativity in use of ICT
- Site/app usability for media content consumption
- Good use of digital marketing to facilitate business expansion
- Other ancillary factors: overall look and feel, design of site/app, cross media compatibility
The Awards also aims to recognize the efforts of media in transforming to be digital media and award the excellence of media in using ICT technology in areas of mobile, internet and social media technologies. Assisted with research of supporting institutions, an Assessment and a Final Judging were conducted by a group of industry experts to solicit the outstanding awardees out of 74 media.
